Rhinestone Bling!!!

Remember that whole discussion I had the other day about how I loooove making apparel look just like store brands??? Well I just HAD to make up an awesome pair of women's jeans. I used the flocked white heat transfer, smooth metallic silver heat transfer...and you guessed it rhinestones. Just a little eye candy to start your day!

FREE download of the week!!

Ok so this is one of my favorite parts of the Silhouette. I love designing apparel that looks just as amazing as your favorite store brands! This argyle is a great way to add a unique element to any apparel project. I used the gray flocked, black flocked and light blue smooth heat transfer for this project. The shield & sword shape is a bunch of shapes and tracings I put together. Sooo, next tutorial, we can talk about welding, so you can whip up a great little number too!

Go create, have a blast with your little toy!

The Monday Cafe: Turning any shape into a sketch

We have had a few asking if you can sketch anything...and my answer is...YES! I haven't met a shape that didn't want to be sketched. I found this super cute Ferris Wheel in the library: ferris_wheel_C02589_1 and thought it would be fun to deconstruct and use some of its elements as a sketch.

Here I have imported my shape into the robo master software and selected the elements I will use as my sketch.

Place the spokes part of the wheel on top of the round part of the wheel. I have copied and pasted the spokes portion so that I can pull some shapes from it. The funnest part of a sketch is that it is messy and organic.
Place your shapes in the place you feel would look sketchiest (new vocabulary word). And then from here; you know the drill, pop out your blade and place in your pen. Then let the Silhouette get down to business.

Here is my end result...so fun! A spinning Ferris Wheel!!! Come on wouldn't that make you so happy. I just love making people happy! Oooh goosebumps! Have a great day!

Inspire U: Soooo Cool

Alright, I am sure there are many of use who are experts in this area, but if you don't mind, I would love to tell you about just how expert I am. *wink*

Seriously could you not be inspired by this. Especially after a hot day. A delicious frozen treat is always INSPIRING! There is just something about how refreshing and invigorating a frozen pop on your tongue feels. Ahhhh a fresh lime popsicle sounds good right about now. Or how about a creamy ice pop...oh the joy! Like I said I'm an expert in this area. Martha Stewart's recent magazine had the most lovely popsicles photographed and I was so inspired by them that I chose to make it the inspiration today!

I went searching and found this darling popsicle card in our library! I thought it would be fun to have an enclosure on the outside and then have the "eaten popsicle pull out with your message on it. Wouldn't you love to get a card like this, letting you know just how cool you really are. I added the darling sunglasses and used a transparency so you could get that little see through effect. I also added "you're so" to the shape "cool".

What summer treat do you love? Make a card and share it with those you love. I cant wait to see! Cheers!
